The heart of the clinic.
At The Private Clinic Swansea, your patient journey is one of precision with care and empathy. Founded by Jodie, Clinical Nurse Specialist and Independent Prescriber, we are driven by a passion for long-term positive ageing, skin health and overall wellbeing.

Jodie: 24 years of nursing, a lifetime of curiosity.
Jodie's journey in regenerative effective medicine and medical aesthetics is driven by a passion for longevity and wellness, and a 'less is more' philosophy when it comes to medical aesthetics. Her vision has shaped a clinic that stands out for personalised, subtle enhancement combined with much-needed regenerative medical care — holistically taking care of a patient's wellbeing.
Jodie's area of special interest is CO2 laser resurfacing and scar management. She travels worldwide to educate herself, bringing life-changing treatments to the clinic, and was a European key opinion leader and clinical trainer for CO2 laser resurfacing — demonstrating her passion for delivering the best patient care.
She returned to university to complete her Masters in prescribing, alongside her dermatology diploma and minor surgical training with the Royal College of Surgeons. Due to her reputation and approachable nature, Jodie is frequently contacted by colleagues for advice on treatments and equipment — a leading voice amongst her professional counterparts.
In 2018, after an extensive research and development programme, Jodie launched her signature medical-grade skincare collection — now over 21 products, stocked by clinics across Wales. She also developed a training academy alongside the clinic, and has trained in excess of 45 practitioners who have gone on to launch their own businesses.

A nurse's eye for safety, brought to laser and skin.
Hi, my name is Amy, I'm a Registered Mental Health Nurse (BSc Hons), graduating in 2021, with over 4.5 years of nursing experience across busy acute and specialist healthcare environments.
I began my nursing career in Bristol before returning to my hometown of Swansea, where I gained valuable experience working with men, women and children, as well as within perinatal services. Throughout my nursing career, I have developed a strong understanding of physical and mental health, medication, rehabilitation, patient safety and delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.
I have always been passionate about improving the experience and safety of those in my care. I have led service improvement initiatives, including Safe Wards, designed to reduce conflict and promote positive relationships between staff and patients. I have also mentored student nurses, supporting them as they develop their confidence and ensuring they provide safe, effective and evidence-based care.
My journey into regenerative medical aesthetics and laser treatments is personal. Having experienced laser hair removal myself, I saw first-hand the confidence that can come from achieving a long-term reduction in unwanted hair. After years of spending time and money on shaving and waxing, laser hair removal gave me the freedom, confidence and convenience I had been looking for.
That experience inspired me to look for a new career journey here at The Private Clinic Swansea allowing me to combine my clinical background with my passion for helping people feel confident in their own skin.
As a nurse, safety, professionalism and putting my clients at ease are incredibly important to me. I take the time to listen, understand your concerns and provide honest, individualised advice. My aim is for every client to feel comfortable, informed and confident throughout their treatment journey.
Outside of work, I'm passionate about looking after both my physical and mental wellbeing. I've been a long-distance runner from a young age, and more recently I've developed a love for reformer Pilates. Both allow me to stay strong, manage stress and maintain a healthy balance.
I'm a naturally friendly and calm person, and definitely a social butterfly! I love meeting new people, learning new things and helping others feel their absolute best.

Debbie's career-long contribution to clinical practice was recognised in 2021 by the Royal College of Nursing when she was nominated for a lifetime achievement award.
Debbie's career change light bulb moment occurred during a treatment with Jodie. She was so impressed with the professionalism, confidence and friendliness of her and the team that she wanted to be a part of it. With the added bonus of being extremely happy with the results of her treatment.
Debbie has a huge enthusiasm for personal health, wellbeing and fitness with a particular passion for yoga, which she has practised for over a decade.
Debbie was fortunate to have joined the clinic in January 2024. The range of clients she treats varies between aesthetic injectables to treatment injections for conditions such as low self esteem or hay fever. Seeing the client feeling better about themselves gives her such a positive feeling. If you book a treatment with Debbie you will find a happy, calm, professional with a very good ear to listening to your concerns and expectations.
