Sclerotherapy

A minimally invasive injectable treatment to reduce or remove unwanted spider veins and small varicose veins, most commonly on the legs.

About this treatment

Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive treatment used to reduce or remove unwanted spider veins and small varicose veins, most commonly on the legs.

A specialist solution called a sclerosant is carefully injected into the affected vein, causing the vein walls to close together. Over time, the treated vein is naturally broken down and absorbed by the body, while blood is redirected through healthier veins.

Treatment is usually quick, requires little downtime, and several veins can often be treated during one session. Some patients may require a course of treatments for the best cosmetic result.
