No. The treatment is non-invasive and the skin is not punctured in any way. The vortex tool used during the treatment feels like a mini-vacuum and you will feel a gentle suction on your face. During step 3 you may experience a slight tingling as we apply the glycolic and salicylic solutions.

Hydrafacial® side effects are minimal and rare. It is safe for all ages and all kinds of skin, and we have achieved great results with our patients who choose this treatment because of its gentle technique and optimal results. It is not suitable for anyone who is suffering from an active skin infection such as herpes simplex, i.e. cold sores are present. Patients with a history of irregular skin healing or anyone who has taken selected prescribed medications for acne within the last 6 months are not suitable for treatment (this will be discussed at your consultation).

You will see results from just 1 treatment. Your skin will feel rejuvenated, refreshed and resurfaced. However we recommend monthly Hydrafacials® over a minimum of a 6 month period for those looking to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, oily skin, hyperpigmentation and skin prone to acne.
