Microneedling

Collagen induction therapy — controlled micro-injuries stimulate the body's healing response, boosting the collagen and elastin essential for skin renewal.

About this treatment

Medical needling, also known as microneedling or collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive procedure using fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin.

These micro-injuries stimulate the body's natural healing response, leading to increased collagen and elastin production — essential for skin renewal and rejuvenation. In a medical setting, needling depth and protocol are tailored to your skin and concern.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions.

Do I need a consultation? +
No. You can book straight in via our online booking system but if you wish for more face-to-face information about the procedure we recommend booking in a consultation.
Is the procedure painful? +
Microneedling can feel sensitive around the eyes, top lip and forehead but a lot of patients find it bearable.
Is there much downtime? +
Visible redness shown on the day and the redness lasting 3 to 5 days. Skin can become dry, some peeling may occur around nose and mouth but very manageable.
Do I need to stay out of the sun? +
Yes, using our Protect 50 SPF for the best protection.
How is microneedling different from my at-home dermal roller? +
Microneedling is a deeper more controlled and safer treatment than at home rollers. As at home rollers are normally reusable and they become unhygienic from the first use. In clinic microneedling is performed in a controlled environment and by experienced practitioners.
When can I exercise next after having microneedling? +
When the redness reduces, this could be within 24 hours or up to 72 hours after needling.
